Why Upgrade to LED?

Traditional fluorescent lighting has been widely used in commercial applications for many years. With the development of LED technology, OEM lighting manufacturers have increasingly upgraded existing product platforms to achieve higher efficiency, longer service life, and improved lighting performance.

Customized LED Module Development

Unlike standard LED modules with fixed dimensions and configurations, retrofit applications often require solutions adapted to existing product platforms and installation conditions. NKT developed customized linear LED modules based on the OEM customer's retrofit requirements. The solution combined high-efficiency Seoul LED components with aluminum-based PCB technology to achieve improved optical performance and reliable thermal management.

Project Outcome

The customized LED modules enabled the OEM partner to upgrade existing commercial lighting products from traditional fluorescent technology to a high-efficiency LED solution.

With approximately 150–160 lm/W luminous efficacy and a longer operating lifetime compared with conventional fluorescent systems, the solution improved lighting performance while reducing maintenance requirements for the end application.
