UV LED Modules Designed Around Your Application

For an OEM equipment manufacturer, selecting a UV LED wavelength is only the beginning. The LED quantity, forward voltage, operating current, circuit configuration, board dimensions and mounting positions all need to work within the equipment design.

NKT focuses on the custom LED PCB module rather than a complete UV curing system. We help customers turn their electrical, optical and mechanical requirements into a practical module design, with room for revisions as the equipment develops.

UV LED Wavelengths and Typical Applications

NKT can review commonly available UV-A and near-UV LED options according to the project requirements. These applications overlap; the wavelength alone does not determine whether a material will cure.

365nm

UV curing with compatible formulations; fluorescence excitation and inspection.

385nm

UV curing for compatible adhesives, inks and coatings.

395nm

UV curing, blacklight and fluorescence-related lighting applications.

405nm

Photocuring with compatible resins and specialized industrial applications.

Wavelengths are nominal. 365nm, 385nm and 395nm fall within UV-A; 405nm is visible violet light. Actual LED specifications and availability depend on the selected component.

For UV curing projects: The material supplier should confirm the recommended wavelength and exposure conditions. The equipment manufacturer is responsible for validating the finished process. NKT develops the LED PCB module to the agreed requirements.

Custom UV LED Module Development

Engineering support focused on the LED module and its integration into your equipment.

01

LED Selection

Evaluate wavelength, radiant-output data, forward voltage, operating current, package and availability for the intended module.

02

Circuit Configuration

Review LED quantity, series-parallel arrangements and independent channels against the available driver voltage and current.

03

Custom PCB Layout

Adapt LED placement, PCB outline, mounting holes and board-level connector locations to equipment drawings.

04

Prototypes & Production

Support sample builds, relevant module-level checks, design revisions and production of the approved LED PCB configuration.

LED sourcing options may include products from Seoul, Luminus and Nichia, subject to suitability and availability. NKT does not design the complete UV curing machine, driver or control system.
